Exemplaire sur un petit flan. Très beau portrait bien centré. Jolie patine de médaillier avec des reflets mordorés. Légèrement décentré au revers, mais animaux de haut relief avec un aigle marin dont toutes les plumes sont visibles

Les monnaies d’étalon persique sont beaucoup moins nombreuses et semblent beaucoup plus rares. Pour ce monétaire, nous restituons la lecture Agé... plutôt qu’Agreos qui se rencontre aussi bien en étalon éginétique que persique.

PAPHLAGONIA - SINOPE
(415-365 BC)
Sinope, a colony of Miletus, was founded in the 7th century BC. Located on the northern coast of Pont-Euxin, a maritime city, it was one of the most important ports in the region. The introduction of the new type with the head of the nymph Sinope corresponds to the installation of the democratic regime in Sinope in 453 BC by the Athenians. The satrap Datames seized Sinope around 375 BC.
