Exemplaire sur un petit flan ovale et épais, parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Très belle tête d’Héraklès bien venue à la frappe et de joli style. Très joli revers de haut relief. Magnifique patine de médaillier avec des reflets dorés

L’atelier de Pella se caractérise par l’utilisation d’un siège avec un dossier, excepté sur l’exemplaire du trésor de Meydancikkale, Gülnar 2, n° 424, pl. 18. Mêmes coins que l’exemplaire n° 423, pl. 18 du même trésor. Ce symbole avec l’abeille sur la rose semble beaucoup plus rare.

Coinage in the name and Alexander III the Great type
Philip, son of Philip II and the half-brother of Alexander, was not entirely in his right mind. On the death of the conqueror and faced with the lack of power, in order to maintain the fiction of the unity of the Empire, he was proclaimed king, but in fact he had no power. He was assassinated at the instigation of Olympias, Alexander's mother, in 316 BC.
