Poids lourd. Rubans de type 1. Monnaie exceptionnelle, connue jusqu’ici à deux exemplaires, tous de mêmes coins. Le premier est conservé à Vienne et fut publié par A. Alföldi en 1928. Son état de conservation ne permettait pas de faire une étude correcte de la légende de revers. C’est pourquoi il est référencé par “FELIX ADVENTVS AVG” dans le MIR.36, Göbl ayant gardé la première lecture erronée.
Le second exemplaire fut récemment publié par Dominique Hollard et Vincent Geneviève dans le BSFN n°7 de 2004. La lecture y est correcte. La monnaie provient du trésor dit de “Bergès II”, découvert en 1899.
Notre monnaie est dans un état de conservation bien supérieur, elle vient confirmer l’étude récente. C’est le seul exemplaire en mains privées et le plus beau connu !.
