(11/12/1806-5/05/1827)

Frédéric-Auguste (23/12/1750-5/05/1827) is the son of Frédéric-Christian (1722-1763), short-lived elector of Saxony in 1763 and Marie-Antoinette of Bavaria. He succeeded his father under the regency of François-Xavier, his uncle (1763-1768). He is the last Elector of Saxony and the first King of Saxony (1763-1806-1827). Faithful ally of Napoleon I, he received the Grand Duchy of Warsaw in 1807. He was taken prisoner at the Battle of Leipzig in 1813 and lost part of his estates at the Treaty of Vienna in 1815. Died childless, his brother Antoine who succeeds him.
